Tuesday.
Well, the children are back at school today and I have time to do some more preparation for this party.
(Note to self: Post party invitation on the blog.)
So I took the kids to school and was collared by their teachers. Not too much suffering there, they must be four of the most beautiful teachers and teachers' assistants in charge of any classes anywhere. And they teach my little ones. Strewth, life is hard. It truly is amazing how a smile from a pretty lady can light up your life for hours afterwards.
After doing the school run, tried to have breakfast, but was foiled by the juicing machine deciding to have a smoke. The second in a month and I don't over work them, honestly.
After breakfast, checked email and posted on Thaivisa.com. Having great fun stirring a bit and arguing the issues with Neo-Con Bush supporters. It is truly astounding how dumb some of these people can be.
Fun over, went to collect some wood shavings. Discovered a guy who turns mango logs to make vases. So helprd him dispose of about a ton of shavings by bringing them home. They will be used to smoke fish & other interesting foodstuffs in my home made smoker. While there negotiated to purchase a dozen large Mango logs to use as garden seats. He insisted on charging 100 Baht each (quite a good price.) He purchased them from near Bangkok for 80 each and had to transport them up, about 400 Kms. We bargained for a while and settled on 95 Baht.
Problem was I only had 830 Baht in total, so he let them go for that. Said it was the first time he had ever traded with a Thai speaking Farang, and hoped we were not all the same in business.
